Chelsea FC are considering a potential move away from Stamford Bridge, the club's home since 1905, to Battersea, with plans to build a brand new stadium close to the iconic Battersea Power Station.
The football club is hoping to construct a 55,000 - 60,000 capacity stadium near the London landmark, which is larger than their current 42,000-capacity ground at Stamford Bridge.

A Chelsea spokesman said: "In the past, we've talked to various people with interests in Battersea Power Station, but we haven't had any substantive discussions with anyone regarding that site for several months.
"However, in light of current developments, we now think it prudent to look again at the feasibility and potential for the Battersea Power Station site to be developed for a football stadium.
"We have made no decision to leave Stamford Bridge, and we continue to discuss with the local council any economically viable options to expand the the Bridge, but we will continue to investigate various options close to Stamford Bridge."
Battersea is just one of three sites Chelsea FC could move to. In an interview with Chelsea FC last month, Ron Gourlay, CEO of Chelsea FC, said that along with Battersea, White City and Earl's Court are possible sites sites and "need to act quickly" if a new stadium is to be built.
But before any move away from SW6 is to take place, the two-time Premier League winners need to buys back the freehold which is owned by their fans known as the Chelsea Pitch Owners (CPO). In a BBC report, only 61.5 per cent of CPO shareholders voted in favour to sell their share with Chelsea FC needing 75 per cent in order to purchase the freehold, leaving the club's board to rethink their options.
